Pompeii and Historic Center of Naples with a visit to the Abbey of San Dolindo

Description

In Naples, in the church of San Giuseppe dei Vecchi in the Avvocata district, rests Don Dolindo Ruotolo, a Neapolitan priest and one of the great mystics of the 20th century who predicted the election of Karol Wojtyla as Pope and the fall of the Berlin Wall. Don Dolindo's tomb has always been a pilgrimage site for many faithful, especially from Poland, who approach it, knock three times on the marble, and pray.Continuing towards Pompeii, you can visit the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Italy. Founded in 1876 by Blessed Bartolo Longo, a layman devoted to Our Lady of the Rosary, the sanctuary is renowned for its magnificent architecture and the icon of the Virgin of the Rosary, venerated for numerous miracles attributed to her intercession. Every year, the sanctuary welcomes thousands of pilgrims who come to pray, attend solemn masses, and recite the Rosary.
